The Bunny Bag

The Bunny Bag is inspired by Japanese bento bags and traditional Furoshiki wrapping techniques used to protect and carry everyday essentials. This multipurpose bag is perfect for transporting makeup and toiletries, art supplies and stationery, lunch, or used simply as an everyday clutch bag. Box corners increase the capacity of the bag and allows it to sit upright when open, and there’s an internal pocket for pens, keys and other small items. To secure the contents you simply tie the handles together in a knot. This is a medium sized bag, measuring roughly 23cm x 15cm x 10cm when closed.

FABRIC SUGGESTIONS

The Bunny Bag works well in any light to medium-weight fabric. The bag is lined, and when the handles are tied the lining is visible, so we suggest lining the bag handles in the main fabric and only using an alternative lining fabric for the internal gusset section. Our bunny bag is made in Harlequin Medium Blue and our Vintage Cotton Stripe, and it's lined with our Cotton Percale.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED

-35 x 110cm main fabric for outer and 35 x 72cm main fabric for inner.
-35 x 42cm lining fabric for inner gusset section.
