Moyo Sashiko

Sashiko, or “little stabs,” is a traditional Japanese technique of functional embroidery that can reinforce the fabric to make it stronger and more hardwearing.

This is a soft, looseweave cotton, decorated with a Moyozashi sashiko style stitch. The base is broad stripes of shades of real indigo.

Made in Japan, 100% cotton, 120cm wide.
Approx. 162gsm
Thread match suggestion: 4815 or 4818

Fabric available in 0.5m increments

Hand wash cold, delicate wring. Do not tumble dry or dry clean. This is real indigo dye so be careful of colour transfer. The colour will fade over time.
This is a soft and fairly lightweight cotton that would be suitable for heavy shirts, and lined for jackets.
