Sashiko, or “little stabs,” is a traditional Japanese technique of functional embroidery that can reinforce the fabric to make it stronger and more hardwearing.

This is a soft, looseweave cotton, decorated with a Hitomezashi sashiko style stitch in a cross pattern. The base is broad stripes of shades of real indigo.

Made in Japan, 100% cotton, 120cm wide.
Approx. 162gsm

Fabric available in 0.5m increments

Hand wash cold, delicate wring. Do not tumble dry or dry clean. This is real indigo dye so be careful of colour transfer. The colour will fade over time.
